Instructor-led on-wing customer training with practical engine access
Training Overview
Rolls-Royce provides training courses and material to customers to educate customer employees on current service operations, maintenance practices and trouble-shooting procedures. Training is provided at Rolls-Royce training facilities.
Standard training can be booked via email. Rolls-Royce will work with customers to meet their requirements and will deliver such training subject to availability and suitability of Rolls-Royce personnel and resource.
Engine Coverage
Instructor-led On-Wing Customer Training is delivered for the following engine types:
Four Main Course Types
Borescope Inspection
Basic and Advanced levels available. Basic is engine-type specific and linked with EASA Part 147 certification.
Includes practical element with engine asset access. Note: EASA Part 147 accreditation applies to Basic level only, not Advanced.
General Familiarisation
Online course — engine overview
Online only — theory-focused introduction (no practical element)
Line & Base Maintenance
Examined with a pass mark of 75%

Specialist separation training
Includes practical element with engine asset access
Key Details
- All courses EXCEPT General Familiarisation have a representative practical element — General Familiarisation is online only
- All courses (except General Familiarisation) have access to a relevant engine asset
- Students gain a certificate upon course completion (exam dependent for Line & Base)
- A range of media are used to deliver course material
- For Line and Base Maintenance courses that include formal examinations, Rolls-Royce will provide attendees that achieve the required results with a European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Part 147 accredited certificate
- Customers must come with all necessary safety gear including PPE and safety shoes
- Course slots are limited — contact your customer representative for availability information
- Courses are delivered in English — a good level of English language proficiency is strongly recommended for successful completion
Booking Requirements
- Requests for training should be made at least 30 days in advance to secure a place
- Pre-requisites for the course must be met - check these carefully before enrolling
- Necessary equipment and course material will be provided by Rolls-Royce for all training courses carried out at the Rolls-Royce training facility
